dress inspiration

The original illustrations for the design of this wedding invitation came from the bride's Junko Yoshioka dress, which she purchased from our friends, Anna Bé, down in Denver. The wedding will take place near Durango and the couple chose colors of fresh green and earthy brown echoing the natural surroundings and laid back mountain atmosphere at Blue Lake Ranch.

This bride really thought of her wedding stationery being a part of a cohesive whole. Each piece carrying through the variation on a theme and intertwining a lot of great ideas that speak to the couple's personality such as bookmarks for placecards {as their tables will be named after favorite children's books} and recipes for favors in honor of their penchant for cooking together. I think it makes a lot of sense to think of everything you will need up front in addition to the standard wedding invitation and response card including programs, escort cards, menus, favors and guestbooks. Your stationer will thank you and you'll cross a lot of to-dos off your list all at once!

Keep your fingers crossed for some great table shots from the actual wedding!
