Award Winning Letterpress Design | NCWIT Symons Innovator
An amazing collaboration of women and technology with @the_corner_studios and @ncwit that lasted for several years.
👁️🗨️ It started with a wordle, @ncwit generated from an interview with this inspiring woman.
🖼️ Meanwhile, Valerie @the_corner_studios was creating bespoke framing to showcase the printed award - hand-painted frame, custom letterpress matting, down to the very last detail.
💯 Next, I created an analog typographic design to be printed by letterpress (100-year-old machine /500-year-old technology), one color at a time, in several layers, by hand.
💡 The NCWIT Symons Innovator Award promotes entrepreneurial women in IT by recognizing one especially outstanding woman a year who inspires others to pursue success in IT.
