Signage & storefront design was a key element in the branding design. From the moment a potential customer arrives in front of the WOODWARD windows, they should be bubbling with expectation. From the friendly faces, to the fine grooming, to the fixtures, each detail will be an integral piece of the whole experience and a reflection of an approach that is welcoming and elevated.
The full logo offers a timeless feel with typography carefully selected to reflect a hybrid style that is both cultivated and utilitarian, time-honored and modern, hard-working and refined – with the twist of a few well-placed cuts. The structure reflects the architecture from the place that inspired the name. The mark is a clever blend o f a classic monogram with the iconic straight razor barber tool, offering a recognizable shape that will translate well across all touchpoints.
A hybrid scotch-style/modern serif offers warmth and adaptability. An honest, familiar sans serif celebrates the letterforms of everyday life. And a script font offers a way to splash in accents with personality. The palette is classic and mainly comprised o f neutral shades allowing for subtle details to shine. Patterns are inspired by classic textiles and art deco geometrics.
